About the PA Noticeboard
The Personal Assistant (PA) Noticeboard is free to use and here to support you with finding a PA for your care and support needs and for PA's to promote their services.
What is a PA?
Instead of having your care needs provided by an agency or organisation, you may choose to employ a Personal Assistant (PA) directly.
A PA can help you with getting out and about, socialising, support to volunteer or take part in educational courses, tasks around your home, help with personal care, provide emotional, motivational, and moral support. There are special rules about paying family members to be your PA.
There are 2 types of PAs – PAs you can employ and PAs who are listed as self-employed.
If you employ a PA with your Direct Payment, you will have legal responsibilities for being an employer and your PA(s) will have employment rights.
Self-Employed PA’s
Some PAs are set up and work on a self-employed basis. If this is the case, you will not be their employer, you will be buying their service in the same way you would an agency.

How Does it Work?
PA’s looking for work
If you are a PA looking for work, please register on the noticeboard and fill in the application form. You can also look at the PA jobs listed on the noticeboard and apply directly to the employer.
Please note: all jobs advertised are still vacant. If a job has been showing for a while it means that a suitable candidate has not yet been found and applicants are still required, so please go ahead and apply for any job you are interested in.
Employers looking for a PA
If you are looking for support from a PA, please register on the noticeboard and fill in the application form to advertise your requirements.
Please note, the PA Noticeboard is for information purposes to help PAs find jobs and to help employers find PAs more easily. We do not recommend anyone and have not done the relevant checks on people using the noticeboard. We strongly advise employers to carry out the appropriate DBS checks and LCC will support the application and can pay for this. We also advise that PAs ensure they have an agreed Contract of Employment.
