Active young person requires support with activities – Oadby

Permanent position - employed only

Preferred days/times:
Thursdays or Fridays, or possibly the weekend – to be discussed with the PA
During school holidays there will be more flexibility to include Mondays – Wednesdays as well

Tasks/duties:
To support the client with going to and trying new activities and new foods, and with the activated they currently enjoy
Client main diagnosis:
• Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
• Sensory processing disorder.
• convulsive syncope
• Systemic hypotension- client needs to drink 3 litres of fluid before noon

Communication:
The client requires to be spoken to using simple and straightforward language. They require time to process information and to respond, and it is important to check that they have understood what is being asked of them.

Client enjoys:
The client likes riding their scooter, swimming, hiking, skiing, travelling, dog walking, gym, gaming, cinema, going to town, pub, yoga, and going to McDonalds.
They have an assistance dog called Tesla, and a cat called Neo.
Tesla helps the client when they are accessing the community
The client dislikes noisy environments, getting up early, having their routines interrupted or changed without notice, surprises, not knowing where they are going, people shouting, or being excluded.
