PA required for a young man living in Lutterworth. REF: PH360681
Support client to meet up and spend time alone with his friends.
Support with hospital appointments.
Social activities, for example, going for a coffee, or go to the cinema, or any other activity client would like to do. Client likes to make decisions about what he wants to do on the day as this will depend on how he feels.
PA will be required to drive client's mobility vehicle.
Enjoys good conversation, eating out, going to the pub, gaming, and keeping fish.
Client will require support with getting in and out of bed, (to and from power wheelchair) and also support with toileting. Client has a ceiling track hoist fitted in his bedroom and bathroom and needs the assistance of 1 carer.
Client does have a urine bottle which he will use but requires full support with intimate personal hygiene and support with undressing and redressing when toileting.
Client spends most of his time in bed and will only sit out in his power chair if he is going out as the chair does become uncomfortable after 6-8 hours.
Client main diagnosis: Sleep Apnoea (has a weakness of his lung and breathing muscles)
Enlarged left ventricle of heart which does cause tiredness.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) - which is a muscle wasting disease.
