Personal Assistant – Rothley
We’re looking for a friendly, flexible Personal Assistant/Carer to support an easy-going stroke survivor with left-sided weakness, who enjoys getting out and about and making the most of life.
About Me
Big fan of DC and Marvel, music (especially Prince), and memorabilia.
Love nature, coffee, and a good laugh (think Jimmy Carr-level humour!).
Enjoy watching football and the occasional visit to the local pub.
Interested in cinema, live music, comedy shows, and maybe even a trip to the golf course to catch up with friends.
I have pets, so you’ll need to be confident around big dogs.
What I’m Looking For
A mature person with similar interests who is chilled out.
Non-smoker preferred.
Someone physically capable of lifting and pushing a wheelchair.
Musical talent would be a bonus!
Other Details
Flexible hours for the right person and planned activities.
Self-employed preferred.
Must know the local area or be happy to explore.
Tasks
Support with transfers where required - for example from the wheelchair to the car.
Toileting where needed.
Support, reassurance and patience to promote his independence and for him to gradually get used to being out of the home and in the community without a family member being with him.
