Support required with social activities in Countesthorpe – Ref TS437241

A gentleman living in Countesthorpe requires support from a Personal assistant.
Client’s interests include walking, cycling, fishing, and going to the gym.

Preferred days/times: Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, 2pm for 2.5 hours each day. Some flexibility.

This position offers the following benefits:
• Pension (for directly employed PA’s if eligible).
• DBS paid for by local authority, if you don’t already have a certificate.
• Paid annual leave for directly employed PA’s.
• Mileage paid directly by client.

Duties:
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
• Support to get to and from social activities, assist and encourage socialisation, promote, and encourage friendships.
• Support with managing paperwork and correspondence

PA will use their own vehicle to support client with activities in the community, so will need to have a full/clean driving license with business insurance.
Relevant diagnosis: ADHD and ASD knowledge and awareness. Client can become emotional and upset at times of distress, and this can come across as confrontational, but this tends to be when he feels unheard or not being listened to. Client requires some time and gentle reassurance which can support him in those moments.
