URGENT New PA and Emergency Visits
Hello,
This is all new to me, so please bear with me.
I’m looking for an urgent new PA (Personal Assistant) Support for myself due to my sensory and health needs, and I thought I’d reach out on here.
I need help with things such as:
• Shopping
• Attending doctors’/hospital appointments
• General day-to-day personal support and care
Support would be for around 3–5 hours at a time, approximately 2 days every week, unless an emergency arises where I may need an extra day or an additional visit for that specific urgent need.
I’m looking for someone who is very reliable, kind, loyal, patient, and understanding, especially regarding sensory needs. This is not medical care, even though I have two medical needs—this is gentle, supportive help to make daily life a little easier.
It is now very urgent that I find a new PA to start as soon as possible.
If you feel you would be a good fit, please get in touch and I will respond as soon as I can.
More about me:
I love animals and hope to have my own pet very soon, so I need a PA who is comfortable with animals in the home environment. However, I am allergic to fleas and their bites, so if you have a pet, I kindly ask that they are up to date with flea treatment. This reassures me and prevents reactions. I hope that’s not too much to ask.
I enjoy doing Diamond Art—it’s my new hobby—along with crafting and jigsaw puzzles. I hope that any PA supporting me will also be willing to take part in these activities with me.
For emergencies, check‑in visits or short pop‑ins would be helpful if something unexpected comes up that I may struggle with. The PA may need to attend for a short period to help until the situation is resolved, or to collect items such as food or medication if the weather is bad and I’m unable to go out. This can all be discussed and agreed upon between myself and the PA.
It may take me a while to warm up or settle down and build trust, as I experience high anxiety and sensory sensitivity. A calm and gentle voice when communicating with me will help a great deal.
Thank you so much for reading.
