7 hours per week, social support – Burbage

Daytime support required for a 24 year old young lady on Monday and/or Tuesday each week. Please note, the 7 hours can be split over the 2 days.
Support to include:
- Accessing the local community.
- Cinema, shopping and other age appropriate activities.
- In time, to look at voluntary working opportunities.
The employer sometimes requires the use of a wheelchair, so any prospective PA will need a suitable vehicle to accommodate this, as well as business insurance. Her mobility is also affected by cold weather.
The employer has a diagnosis of Autism and Neuromuscular Dystrophy. She can also become anxious, especially in new environments, so an understanding of these areas would be advantageous.
In addition to supporting the employer with social activities, there will be times when help at home is more appropriate.
Please note, there are other children at the property, so an advanced DBS will be required. This is something that Leicestershire County Council can assist with if needed.
