PA for support accessing the community – Loughborough

Individual looking for support for 6 hours per week. The support would be community based e.g. going to shops, recreational activities such as going to the cinema or a bar.
This individual has a flare for music and the arts, and also follows alternative fashion. They are seeking support from someone with similar interests to help with rapport building.
Due to this individual’s diagnoses, a degree of flexibility is required with the support hours as their presentation can vary from day to day, which will impact on the support they have.
Preferred days/times: To be discussed further at interview.
Tasks/duties: To support this individual with accessing the community, taking part in activities of interest and social activities.
To help identify activities or places to visit that would be of interest to this individual.
To support with health and wellbeing when out in the community and monitor any changes that could put the individual at risk.
To monitor for any potential triggers that could impact this individual’s wellbeing and support with using coping mechanisms to manage the situation.
To be able to react to changing situations and client presentation in a quick, cool and calm way that allows them to follow agreed steps and contact to be made with family when required.
Client main diagnosis: Autism, Tourette's, Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Dissociative Identity Disorder and dissociative seizures
Communication: Due to their diagnoses, this person can initially find it difficult to communicate with a new person, but once they get to know someone they become more at ease.
Moving and Handling: no issues
Driving Licence: Full, clean licence required
Pets: no pets
Smoker: Smokes/vapes
Client enjoys: Music – both listening to and creating music, singing, art, reading and making tiktoks, watching horror films
