Personal Assistant support in Syston

Preferred days/times:
AM – 45mins between 8-9am
8 hours a week to be flexibly used and discussed further at interview.
Hours available to be shared amongst more then one PA.
Gender:
Female due to personal care tasks.
Tasks/duties:
Morning call – Support with personal care tasks, prompting of medication and ensuring breakfast and lunch is available.
8 hours support a week -Support with shopping for food and essential items, managing correspondence and appointments, light domestic tasks, accessing the local community and social activities, promoting social inclusion to reduce isolation, and supporting with re-establishing hobbies and attend religious temple visits.
Preference is to have a female Gujarati speaking PA
Main diagnosis:
-Stroke, resulting in left sided weakness, speech impairment and reduced mobility.
-Depression
-Type II diabetes (2007)
Communication:
Primarily speaks Gujarati, has little understanding of English. Speech is slow and delayed following recent stroke.
Moving and handling:
Only walks short distances. Will get breathless and fatigued.
What do you enjoy doing:
Very religious and a big part of her life. Likes cooking but struggles with meal prep. Would benefit from company and encouragement to access the community.
Driving license required: YES – Mileage to be paid by employer
An enhanced DBS certificate is applicable to this role.
