Weekend support to access the community in Market Harborough

A sociable and chatty 67-year-old lady is looking for a Personal Assistant to support her with getting out and about and enjoying social activities or having afternoon tea. She has a great sense of humour, enjoys conversation. She is a gentle natured lady who enjoys the simple things in life and would like someone who is kind, reliable, and happy to provide companionship while supporting her independence.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life whilst building a positive and supportive working relationship.
Support is for the weekend only, however, will be happy to look at 2 PA's if both days aren't possible.
Preferred days/times:
3 hrs Saturday
3 hrs Sunday
Times are flexible and can be discussed at interview.
Tasks/duties:
The client likes to access the community; shopping, going to café’s, having lunch out, going for walks, visiting places etc.
Main diagnosis:
Korsakoff Syndrome causing memory difficulties. She uses an A4 diary/journal where she keeps comprehensive records all her daily activity.
Epilepsy - seizures in the form of absences, the last one of which was Nov 2025.
Communication:
No difficulties communicating needs.
Moving and handling:
No mobility issues.
Hobbies:
When at home, the client enjoys watching wildlife and nature programmes and she also likes to keep up to date with current affairs. Lynda has newspapers delivered and she completes the Suduko and crossword puzzle daily.
There are no pets.
Driving license is required, the client will pay mileage. On average mileage would be for 2 miles each day.
An DBS certificate is applicable to this role.
